The three pieces contained in this collection were written for renowned competitions: the Concours de harpe Lily Laskine 2008 and the ARD Competition 2009. But it is not the technical aspect that is to the fore. The composer rather opens the listener's eyes to the soft Impressionist colour of Japanese poetry: a cherry blossom celebration, a lullaby - and again and again an approach to the sound of the koto, the traditional Japanese zither.
