About The Event:
Andrzej Baranek is one of the most highly regarded jazz pianists on the UK jazz scene and has worked with an impressive array of artists, most recently touring with the Gaz Hughes Trio, and the Leeds based salsa band Orchestra Mambo International. In this recital, Andrzej will take you on a journey paying tribute to some of the most notable jazz pianists of the past century, from Tatum to Peterson, Ellington to Monk, amongst many others. Every piece played will reference a different pianist, featuring classic jazz standards as well as some lesser known compositions.
